The Bauchi state command of Nigeria police force on Sunday announced the arrest of three suspected kidnappers who abducted two teenagers in Bauchi metropolis.
A statement by Haruna Mohammed, spokesman of the command, named the suspects as: Abubakar Mohammed, from Jos; Sanusi Inuwa from Wuntin Gobirawa village; and Danlami Abdullahi also of Wuntin Gobirawa.
Mohammed said following intelligence reports, the suspects were arrested by detectives attached to Bauchi state Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), led by Thomas Kwabika, a inspector.
He said the suspects conspired and kidnapped two children, Yunusa Hussaini, 8, and Dare Yakubu, 7, all of Dungal village in Bauchi.

Mohammed said the suspects demanded the sum of N500,000 from the parents of the victims.
He said the police rescued the victims and handed them over to their parents in good condition.
Mohammed said one Dane gun and N66,000 were recovered from the suspects who would be charged to court after investigations.
