Police arrest three suspects over ‘land grabbing’ in Abia community

Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) have arrested three suspects over alleged land grabbing in Arochukwu LGA of Abia state.

The suspects are Augustine Igwe, Obinna Nwafor, and Orie Nwankwo.

The suspects were arrested following several petitions accusing them of land grabbing, malicious damage, trespassing, and possession of dangerous weapons.

They are alleged to be involved in the forceful and fraudulent takeover of landed properties in the Amakofia Ututu community in Arochukwu LGA.

The suspects are also accused of threatening the life of Kalu Okoronkwo, the founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of Bigmark Estates Ltd.

The suspects have been taken into the custody of the force criminal investigation department (FCID) in Abuja.

Reacting to the arrest, Okoronkwo said the activities of the suspects have made the lives of people in the community miserable.
