The Imo state police command says its operatives have arrested three persons found in possession of a human skull during a patrol along the Okigwe-Umuahia expressway.
A statement on Wednesday by Henry Okoye, spokesman for the command, identified the suspects as Patrick Okoere, Ifeanyichukwu Anyaemeka, and Chukwuemeka Onyekachi.
“They are currently under investigation. During questioning, Patrick stated that his uncle, Osunta Oko, had asked him to acquire a human skull,” Okoye said.
“He claimed to have found it along a riverbank on the Okigwe-Umuahia Expressway, an area where the command has received cases of kidnappings.

“In addition, a DNA analysis is underway to determine the identity of the skull’s owner.”
