Nnaghe Itam, the police commissioner in Anambra, led a patrol against the enforcement of the sit-at-home order in Awka south LGA on Monday.
Members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) have been enforcing the sit-at-home order on Mondays in some south-east states to protest the continued detention of Nnamdi Kanu, their leader.
Residents are restricted from engaging in their daily social and economic activities during the sit-at-home days.
Speaking in Akwa, the capital of Anambra, Itam promised that officers of the command will arrest suspected killers of the 22 people killed in Nibo and Ifite Awka, communities in Awka south LGA.

The police chief said the “command is on the trail of some already mentioned suspects involved in the killing”.
Itam said communities in Awka south should collaborate with the police, adding that traditional rulers and other leaders should work closely with the security agencies.
