Police declare sacked Oyo park boss Auxiliary wanted

The police command in Oyo has declared Mukaila Lamidi, sacked chairman of the state park management system (PMS), wanted.

Adewale Osifeso, Oyo police spokesperson, disclosed the development in a statement on Friday.

Osifeso said Lamidi, popularly referred to as ‘Auxiliary’, is wanted over cases bordering on attempted murder, arms dealing, murder, armed robbery, and kidnapping at the Oke-ogun and Ibarapa axis of the state.

The police had raided a hotel belonging to the 61-year-old suspect on Tuesday and recovered arms, ammunition, cash, and charms.

He was said to have escaped during the raid which led to the arrest of 78 other suspects said to be loyal to him.

According to Osifeso, Auxiliary’s last known location was Diamond Hotel, Alakia-Isebo, Egbeda LGA.

“Lamidi Mukaila is an indigene of Oyo state. He was born on the 9th, January 1962 (61yrs) and is dark in complexion.

“He is about 1.55m (5ft1), married and speaks Yoruba & English Language moderately,” the statement reads.
