The police in Lagos have arrested Stella Nwadigo, a school teacher who was filmed physically assaulting a toddler.
In a now-viral video, Nwadigo, a teacher at Christ-Mitots Primary School in the Ikorodu area of Lagos, was depicted violently smacking a toddler in a numeracy class.
The footage, which showed the toddler sobbing, has generated outrage from concerned Nigerians on social media.
“The footage has raised serious concerns about the safety and well-being of our little ones in school,” a social media user noted.
