The Kaduna state police command has commenced investigations into attack on Nasir el-Rufai, governor of the state.
Aggrieved youth in Kanfacha pelted the convoy of el-Rufai with stones on Tuesday.
Some women also destroyed vehicles belonging to the governor after holding a meeting with him.
But addressing reporters on Friday, Agyole Abeh, the state’s commissioner of police, said an investigation team, headed by an assistant commissioner of police, had been dispatched to Kafanchan.

He vowed that perpetrators of the heinous act would be brought to justice, and warned people of the state not to take the law into their hands.
