The Imo police command has paraded one Ugochukwu Obinna, who allegedly stabbed his friend, Nwachukwu Stanley, over “$3000 fraud proceed”.
Speaking during the parade of the 22-year-old in Imo on Wednesday, Henry Okoye, the command’s spokesperson, said the corpse of the victim has been deposited in a morgue for preservation.
He added that the suspect will be arraigned upon completion of investigation.
Okoye said after the murder case was reported at the state criminal intelligence and investigation department (SCIID), an analysis by forensic experts revealed that the deceased was stabbed, leading to the arrest of Obinna.

The suspect, who was paraded alongside 55 others, reportedly confessed to murdering his friend after he refused to hand him an agreed percentage.
He said he lived with the deceased and waited until he went to sleep, before repeatedly stabbing him on the upper part of his body with a sharp knife.
