Police vow to arrest killers of NFF official

Wilson Inalegwu, commissioner of Police (CP) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT),  has vowed to nab the killers of Ibrahim Abubakar, head of protocol of Nigeria Football Federation.

Abubakar was murdered by unknown gunmen who attacked his Abuja residence in the early hours of Wednesday.

After inspecting the scene of the incident, the CP said the police would do everything within their powers to bring-to-book, the assailants responsible for Abubakar’s death.

Ademola Olajire, head of communications at the NFF, confirmed this in a statement.

Earlier in the day, Nigeria’s youth and sports minister, Solomon Dalung visited the NFF at the glass house to offer condolences.

Alhassan Yakmut,  director general of the National Sports Commission (NSC), also sent a condolence message.

Super Eagles players – Ahmed Musa, Vincent Enyeama, Elderson Echiejile, Ogenyi Onazi, Obafemi Martins and Odion Ighalo also sent in words of condolence.
