Officers of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) have killed one Isa Dei-Dei, a “notorious bandit”, in a suburb of the federal capital territory (FCT).

The police said the intelligence response team received information about the hideout of a notorious bandit group in FCT on Monday.

In a statement on Wednesday, Muyiwa Adejobi, force spokesperson, said when the operatives arrived at the scene, the bandits fled and the officers went after them.

“The operatives immediately went after them, which led to a fierce gun duel,” Adejobi said.
