Police ‘rescue’ abducted twin daughters of Kwara monarch

The Kwara police command says it has rescued the kidnapped twin daughters and three domestic staff of Samuel Adelodun, the traditional ruler of Obbo Ayegunle, Ekiti LGA of Kwara state.

The twins, their driver, security and the maid were kidnapped on Thursday while returning from a school at Omu-Aran in Irepodun LGA of the state.

Okasanmi Ajayi, the police public relations officer, said the kidnappers, under intense pressure from the security operatives, the vigilante group, and local hunters, abandoned their victims and escaped into the bushes.

He said the victims were rescued unhurt, medically examined, found healthy and handed over to their families.
