Wilson Inalegwu, commissioner of police of the federal capital territory (FCT) has ordered the restriction of vehicular movement in the nation’s capital between 7 am and 4 pm on Saturday.
According to Anjuguri Manzah, public relations officer of FCT police command, the restriction is to allow for free and fair conduct of the rescheduled area council election.
“This is part of the security measures adopted by the command to ensure safety and security during the elections,” Manzah said in a statement.
The statement said the restriction excluded vehicles on essential duty.
