Police to impound vehicles with covered number plates in Katsina

The Katsina police command says it will begin to impound vehicles with covered number plates in the state.

Aliyu Abubakar-Sadiq, spokesperson of the command, announced the development in a statement on Thursday.

Abubakar-Sadik said driving vehicles with covered number plates has been on the rise in the state.

“This is to inform the public that the command has observed with great dissatisfaction the proliferation of driving motor vehicles in the state without or with covered number plates,” he said.

“In view of the above, the command is giving the motorists an ultimatum of Monday, December 11, 2023, that their number plates or their vehicle will be impounded and face the full wrath of the law.”
