Pope Francis on Sunday suffered a minor injury while riding his popemobile in Colombia.
According to UK Guardian, the pope had his eye bandaged and blackened after he lost his balance in his customised vehicle.
The Vatican said he immediately received ice treatment and was fine but the bruise was visible when he said mass for hundreds of thousands of people.

After the incident, the pope appealed to Colombians to “untie the knots of violence” after a 50-year civil war.

He asked Colombians to shun violence and called on the country’s leaders to enact laws that would end injustice and social inequality.
“If Colombia wants a stable and lasting peace, it must urgently take a step in this direction, which is that of the common good, of equity, of justice, of respect for human nature and its demands,” he said during the mass.
“Only if we help to untie the knots of violence, will we unravel the complex threads of disagreements.
“Here in Colombia and in the world, millions of people are still being sold as slaves; they either beg for some expressions of humanity, moments of tenderness, or they flee by sea or land because they have lost everything, primarily their dignity and their rights.”
