Rilwan Akiolu, the Oba of Lagos, has urged Nigerians to be patient with the administration of President Bola Tinubu.
Akiolu spoke on Tuesday when Oluremi Tinubu, the first lady, paid him a visit at his palace in Lagos.
The monarch said Tinubu meant well for the nation, noting that the president is a man who is focused on the people at the grassroots.
“All that I am saying and appealing to is that we should pray for Nigeria and the president,” the monarch was quoted in a statement by Busola Kukoyi, the media aide to the first lady.

“We should be patient. Everything good needs prayers.
Akiolu urged Nigerian youths to be hardworking and closer to God.
“Though some youth are incurably lazy and are always waiting to be spoon-fed, teach them not to always wait for fish but learn how to fish themselves,” the monarch said.

He also reiterated that Lagos deserves to be accorded a “special status” as the former capital of the country.
On her part, Oluremi said Tinubu is passionate about the country, assuring that her husband would do his best for Nigeria.
The first lady said the request for a special status would get the attention of lawmakers representing Lagos at the national assembly.
“I assure you that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will do well for this country,” the first lady said.
