Prince Williams assumes work on first day as ambulance pilot

The Duke of Cambridge on Monday resumed his first shift as a pilot for the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA), based at Cambridge Airport at 7am.

After the Duke and his crew-mates checked over the H145 helicopter he will fly, he told reporters of his excitement at the new role.

Speaking with The Telegraph on his first day, Williams said: “It’s my first day and I’m feeling the nerves. We’re starting off on a wet Cambridge day, but I’m really looking forward to getting started.

“It’s been a lot of effort and patience in training but we’re here now and I’m looking forward to doing the job.”
