Protest: Mutfwang declares 24-hour curfew in Jos

Caleb Mutfwang, governor of Plateau, has imposed a 24-hour curfew in Jos and Bukuru metropolis as a nationwide protest against economic hardship enters a fifth day.

The governor made the announcement in a statement on Sunday signed by Gyang Bere, his director of press and public affairs.

He said the decision was taken after consultation with security agencies, to ensure that unscrupulous individuals do not unleash terror on innocent citizens.
