Persons with disabilities (PWDs) in Borno have asked to be included in the ongoing digital literacy training organised by the state government.
The training is being facilitated through the Borno state Information and Communication Technology Development Agency (BICTDA).
In a statement on Saturday, the PWDs emphasised the need for accessibility and equal opportunities across board.
Mohammed Kwalwakwalwa, leader of the group, commended Babagana Zulum, governor of the state, for establishing the agency and for appointing Muhammed Wanori as its first executive secretary.

Wanori said Zulum has made provisions for PWDs in all information communication technology (ICT) centres, and that this proves that government is committed to disability inclusion.
He requested for a comprehensive list of PWDs from each local government to facilitate the inclusion process.
Wanori said the project aims to empower PWDs with digital skills which will enable them to contribute to the development of the state.
