Q Media and Communications Limited, publishers of A-List, a marketing and communication publication, is set to hold the Iconic Brands Awards to recognise leading brands, media and marketing communications professionals in Nigeria.
According to a statement on Thursday, Q Media said the award will focus on professionals who have significantly contributed to the industry for 20 years.
The company said it helps to promote excellence in the marketing and communications industry.
“The awards would also come with the official launch of the Marketing and Communication A-List which is a compendium of marketing communication practitioners who have had at least ten years experience in the industry as well as profile of agencies, PR firms, marketing companies and other players in the integrated marketing communications ecosystem,” Q Media said.

Samuel Ajayi, managing director of Q Media and lead convener of the event, emphasised the importance of acknowledging the achievements of both brands and professionals who have excelled in the market for over a decade.
“It’s time we recognised and honour the brands that have been up there and doing well in the market for over 10 years and also felicitate with the professionals behind the successes of these brands and their various organisations,” Ajayi said.
He said the event would mark the launch of an updated edition of the marketing communications book, which will now be revised annually to include new professionals and outfits who meet the criteria for the A-List.

“The book will be updated on yearly basis and new names of professionals who have qualified for the A-List category will be added as well as outfits,” he said.
Afolabi Idowu, the project coordinator for the awards and book launch, said plans are in place to reach out to agencies and marketing professionals to gather their profiles for inclusion in the compilation.
Idowu also noted that they will be contacting the award recipients, including the brands and their representatives, to inform them of the honours being conferred upon them and their brands.
The project coordinator urged senior marketing professionals to get in touch directly if they have not been reached, allowing them to submit their profiles, along with those of their organisations, for inclusion.
