QHSES leadership academy graduates 94 students

The QHSES Leadership Academy has graduated 94 students from its safety training programme.

Speaking during the convocation ceremony last weekend in Lagos state, Jamiu Badmos, executive director of the training institute, said the academy is committed to raising sustainable leaders to make lasting impact in the country.

According to Badmos, the leadership academy offers a clear thinking in a complex world and provides young professionals with the opportunity to learn leadership skills and technical knowledge.

“When I stood in the presence of compassionate leaders on the 1st of October, 2021 at the Leadership Reboot – 01 to commence the QHSES Leadership Academy, a tuition-free and prestigious academy driven by passion for humanity and envisioned to develop sustainable leaders who strive to have positive and lasting impacts on people, organisations and society through professional excellence, integrity and spirit of service, some of the audience looked around with faces that deemed it impossible,” Badmos said.

“People asked me why we should impact people without collecting programme fee and how do we facilitate robust lectures for six months with two semesters coupled with assessments, examinations and group project defence, I replied with the following quote from a great leader in Africa, Dr. Nelson Mandela, “What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.

“Truly speaking , with good heads and good hearts from my colleagues, we formed a formidable team with outstanding collaboration (UBUNTU), we did.

“To all the professional bodies/Associations (IOSH-WAD, ISPON, WSO-Ng, IIRSM-Ng, AERMP, ECRMI, IETC – Graduate School, SOWSHE-A, QMSAI, ANWSP and the safety advocates) that endorsed this initiative, we say a big thank you, we celebrate your passionate leadership.”
