Dikko Radda, governor of Katsina, has appointed Ahmad Daku, a former military governor of Kano and Sokoto, as chairman of the state Hisbah board.

The statement listed the boards and commissions as the Local Government Services Commission (LGSC), Fiscal Responsibility Commission, Hisbah Board, Zakat and Waqf (Administration and Allied Matters) Board, and the Katsina State Project Implementation and Monitoring and Evaluation (SPIME) office.

Daku was the former military governor of Kano from 1985 to 1987 and was redeployed to Sokoto state from 1987 to 1990.

He added that Abubakar Yusuf is the new executive secretary of the Zakat board with Naziru Maibaru, and Da’ah Amin-Halilu as members.
