Rangers declares midfielder Christian Madu missing

Rangers FC midfielder Christian Madu has been declared missing by the reigning champions of the Nigeria Professional Football League.

The management of the club made this known on Friday in a statement by Foster Chime, director of media.

Chukwuma Agbo, head coach, had said the midfielder sent him a letter explaining that he went for a check-up.

But the club in a statement said: “The letter did not specify the type of sickness, where or when he would be treated.

“The letter came immediately after the Rangers versus FC Ifeanyi Uba match in Enugu.

“Since then, he has not reported for training or seen anywhere around the Coal City Flying Antelopes camp, which means he has gone Away Without Official Leave (AWOL).

“He did not present himself to the team doctor, who is a consultant physician.”
