Rangers’ Olusesi wins VAT wonder goal award

Tope Olusesi polled a total of 3621 votes to win the matchday 20 VAT wonder goal award.

A combined total of 5400 votes were recorded on the Twitter handle and website of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the highest ever since the inception of the VAT wonder goal award.

For the first time, the votes on the website were more than those from Twitter.

Olusesi, Rangers FC player, beat Ikechukwu Nwani of Nasarawa United who had a total of 1537 votes.

“It is a milestone to be built on in growing followership for the league and can help in marketing the league through data mining if the profile of the voters can be obtained”.

Olusesi thus becomes the second Rangers player to win the award this season.
