Abdu Maikaba has been unveiled as the new head coach of Rangers International, Enugu.
The gaffer was unveiled at the club’s corporate headquarters in Enugu on Thursday by Manfred Nzekwe, the state’s commissioner for youth and sports development.
Maikaba joined the Flying Antelopes after a bitter-sweet two-season spell at Plateau United.
Speaking to reporters at the unveiling, Maikaba hailed Rangers as “the best-organized club in the country,” saying he’s been a distant admirer of the club for a while.

He added that his mission at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium will be “to annex all trophies in all competitions we partake in.”
“As you know, I have served in many top clubs around the country, and I must say that Rangers is the best-organized club in the country. I have been a secret admirer of the club even from my youthful days. Support and followership of Rangers are unprecedented,” the new Flying Antelopes head coach said.
“I am a coach who always set a target for himself in all the teams I have coached, and here in Rangers, my target will not change. It is to annex all trophies in all competitions we partake in. With the support of management and government, we shall all smile at the end of the season.”

Maikaba spent the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 season with Plateau United after leaving Akwa United, where he won the 2017 AITEO cup.
He also managed Wikki Tourists of Bauchi and helped them qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup in 2016.
