Enugu Rangers have been crowned the 2023/24 NPFL season champions.
The Flying Antelopes won the league after defeating Bendel Insurance 2-0 on Sunday at the Nnamdi Azikwe stadium in Enugu.
The team cruised to the league title after Enyimba and Remo Stars dropped points in their weekend matches.
Goals from Kelechuckwu Agu and Chidiebere Nwobodo secured the match and title for the Fidelis Ilechukwu-led team with one game left.

The triumph takes Rangers NPFL tally to eight, just one behind Enyimba with the record number of titles.

Remo Stars were defeated 2-1 by Sunshine Stars at the Akure township stadium.
Chinedu Nwosu’s brace terminated the Ikenne Boy’s title charge despite Ahmed Akinyele’s penalty in the 75th minute.
Enyimba also stumbled to a 2-1 loss to Sporting Lagos at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena.

Godwin Odibo and Jonathan Alukwu’s goals helped the relegation-threatened Sporting overcome the Peoples Elephant.
The loss of both and Enyimba confirmed that Rangers’ 62 points at the league’s summit could not be matched with just one matchday remaining.
