Gunmen have abducted two persons — a worker with the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) and a staff member of a bank — in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.
The Oyo police command confirmed the incident on Tuesday in a text message by Olugbenga Fadeyi, its spokesman.
According to NAN, the gunmen were said to have invaded a quarry site along Ijebu-Ode/Ibadan road on Monday and kidnapped Popoola Isaac, a RCCG staff member, and Ismail Adeoye, a bank worker.
The case was reported at the Idi Ayunre police station in Ibadan.
