‘The match was peaceful until hoodlums hijacked it’ — reactions as Nigeria squander 4-goal lead against Sierra Leone

Some Nigerians have taken to Twitter to pour out their annoyance after the Super Eagles surrendered a four-goal lead to draw their African Cup of Nations qualifier clash with Sierra Leone.

The game, which held on Friday night at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Edo, ended in an eight-goal thriller.

The Eagles were leading the Leone Stars 4-0 in the first 30 minutes before they threw away the four-goal lead to draw at full time.

The scoreline has since generated mixed reactions on social media platforms, especially Twitter, where some Nigerians blamed the draw on poor selection by Gernot Rohr, the Eagles coach.
