Real Madrid Football Club have won their 10th UEFA Champions League trophy after a pulsating final at the at the Estadio da Luz, home of Portuguese club, Sporting Lisbon Football Club.
Madrid were some two minutes away from losing the trophy to a solitary Diego Godin goal off a mistake by Iker Casillas, but Sergio Ramos rose high in stoppage time to head home a corner kick, while Gareth Bale, the world’s most expensive player; Marcelo; and Cristiano Ronaldo added goals of their own to earn the giants their much-coveted La Decima.
Their latest UCL crown is the first title since 2002, when they beat Bayer Leverkusen in the final in Glasgow, Scotland.
