Yunusa Tanko, national coordinator of the Obidient Movement Worldwide, says formal registration into the group will begin soon.
Tanko disclosed this in an interview on Sunrise Daily, a Channels Television programme, on Monday.
“Within the next few months there will be announcement for registration, formal registration. We want to identify you where you are and what you do,” Tanko said.
He also said that there will be a discussion to determine the membership fee for those intending to join the grassroot mobilisation group.

Tanko was recently named as coordinator of the political movement heralding Peter Obi, the Labour Party (LP) candidate in the 2023 presidential election.
In the interview, Tanko said the Obidient movement is all about good governance, citizens engagement, national unity and development.
Tanko said the Obidient movement is broader in scope and open to admitting more people compared to the Kwankwasiyya movement who are loyal to Rabiu Kwankwanso, presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party in the 2023 elections.

He said the Obidient movement is larger than the current membership of Labour Party.
“If you believe in good governance in Nigeria, trying to build an egalitarian society… automatically, you are an Obidient,” Tanko added
