Remain hopeful despite difficulties, Fayemi tells Nigerians in Eid-el-Kabir message

Kayode Fayemi, former governor of Ekiti state, has called on Nigerians to remain hopeful in the midst of difficulties.

In an Eid-el-Kabir message issued by Ahmad Sajoh, head of his media office, on Sunday, Fayemi said the festival is a reminder that true devotion requires sacrifice.

“As we celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, I extend my warm greetings and heartfelt wishes to all our Muslim brothers and sisters across Nigeria,” the statement reads.

“Eid-el-Kabir reminds us of the boundless compassion of the Almighty and the enduring strength found in unity and community.

“Eid-el-Kabir is not merely a time for festivity. It is an opportunity to reinforce our commitment to values of empathy, generosity, and solidarity.”

The former minister urged the Muslim faithful to draw inspiration from the essence of the festival.

“We are all aware of the myriad challenges facing our beloved country today as Nigerians navigate difficult times. But let us remember that even in the face of adversity, our resilience as a people remains unshaken,” Fayemi said.

“Our history is replete with instances where we have come together to overcome daunting obstacles, emerging stronger and more united.

“I urge all Nigerians to hold steadfast to hope and support one another. Let us draw inspiration from the essence of Eid-el-Kabir, recognizing that every challenge we face is an opportunity for growth and renewal. Through collective effort and action, we can build a brighter future for ourselves and generations.”
