Samsung Electronics West Africa has unveiled Nigerian singer, rapper, and songwriter, Remilekun Abdulkalid Safaru (better known by the stage name, Reminisce) as a brand ambassador for its mobile division, with plans to leverage Reminisce in its product advertising for entry-level mobile phones.
According to Samsung Electronics West Africa’s, director for information technology and mobile, Mr. Emmanouil Revmatas, Reminisce symbolises the values that Samsung has stood for over the years.
“The Samsung brand stands for quality innovation, change, discovery, self-expression and excellence. These qualities are epitomised by Reminisce, whose quality and depth of work as well as versatility as an artiste have endeared him to Nigerians. We are very proud to have him endorse our new entry-level mobile phones,” he said.
Revmatas further described the signing of Reminisce as an opportunity for Samsung to reach out to its consumers through Nigeria’s music industry.

“We want to further connect with our customers at all touch points, especially through music, which is one of the passions of people worldwide,” he said.
In sync with its strategy of introducing innovative, smart mobile devices from which consumers can derive optimum value, Samsung Electronics has also unveiled its new Galaxy Trend Lite and Galaxy Ace 4 Lite smartphones, two affordable solutions targeted at the new generation of mobile phone users.
The devices are already available at Samsung stores and accredited dealers nationwide.
