A remotely piloted aircraft belonging to the Indian Air Force (IAF) crashed Thursday in the country’s western state of Rajasthan.

No loss of life or damage to property was reported in the accident.

The aircraft crashed during a routine training.

“A Court of Inquiry has been constituted to find out the cause of the accident,” the IAF said.

The crash comes a month after an IAF aircraft crashed in the compound of a student hostel during a training sortie.

A similar incident happened some 200 kilometres north-west of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia’s capital city, on Tuesday.

Two Malaysian military helicopters collided mid-air and crashed, killing all 10 crew members onboard.

Mohamed Nordin, defence minister, said the aircraft, a maritime operations helicopter and a Fennec military chopper, were rehearsing for a parade celebrating the 90th anniversary of the Royal Malaysian Navy.
