Ayo Fayose, former governor of Ekiti state, has advised the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to resolve all internal crises rocking the party before they get “messier”.
In a Twitter post on Sunday, Fayose said it is important that PDP resolves its internal battle, saying the party risks another “serious turbulence”.
“I see more serious turbulence for PDP more than ever before. I have been silent all this while hoping that things will get better. I advise we do more than we are doing now to resolve this crisis as events in days/weeks ahead may likely get messier. I pray this advice is not ignored,” Fayose said.

The PDP has been battling with an internal crisis following a call by Nyesom Wike, Rivers governor, and some governors in his camp calling for the resignation of Iyorchia Ayu, the party’s national chairman.

The call is premised on the fact that Ayu is from the same region as Atiku Abubakar, the party’s presidential candidate.
But Ayu has insisted that he will complete his tenure.
Earlier in September, Fayose urged Atiku’s allies to do the “needful” to ensure he wins the presidential election.
“For me, I want to believe his excellency, Atiku Abubakar, is not against you, but let me say this quickly. A lot of people surrounding the throne are enemies of the throne, and a lot of people surrounding the throne have an issue to grind with somebody or some issues with somebody and they take it to where they are not supposed to take it,” he had said.

“There is no living being within this party and outside this party that will not acknowledge your contribution to this party. You are the soul of this party even now. What you do, how many people do it?
