Rhythm 93.7 OAP Iphie shot dead

Rhythm 93.7FM PH on-air personality, writer and motivational speaker, Ifeoma ‘Iphie’ Aggrey-Fynn, was shot dead by armed robbers along Aba-Port Harcourt expressway on Tuesday.

Iphie was shot in a public transit bus as she returned from visit to her parents in Aba.

According to reports from survivors, the robbers opened fire on the bus as the driver became aware of the threat and attempted to escape from the robbers. It is not yet known if there were any other causalities or injuries.

Iphie’s death comes just a few days to her June 8 birthday. Iphie was loved and admired by her friends and listeners.

Iphie Started her radio career at Rhythm 95.7 Awka, where she presented the mid-morning show ‘Rhythm n Soul’, ‘Gospel Vibes’ and ‘E-Merge’ a TV programme on STV Awka.

She Joined Rhythm Port-Harcourt in 2011, hosting various shows such as ‘Morning Drive’, ‘Afternoon Drive’, and ‘Dance Party’.
