One of the most romantic movies of 2012, The Meeting, produced by actress Rita Dominic and Nollywood director Mildred Okwo, has won the Audience award for Best Film at Monday’s Nollywood Film Festival in Paris.

Okwo also co-produced it with Rita Dominic, while the script was written by Tunde Babalola.

This is yet another award for the 2012 romantic flick, which earlier won the Award for Achievement in make-up category at the 9th Africa Movies Academy Awards in April 2013.

Rita Dominic also won the award for the Best Actress in a Film for her role in the film at the 2013 Nigeria Entertainment Awards.

The Meeting tells the story of a Lagos communications firm’s corporate executive dispatched to Abuja to meet with a minister and secure government’s authorisation for his company’s plans to build a mast sub-station. He is forced to deal with some impediments while on his mission.

A romantic comedy set in the midst of Nigeria’s political shenanigans, the movie addresses an array of contemporary issues audiences are sure to identify with, from love to the trials of tackling officials and manoeuvring red tape.
