Fubara Aribibia, a director at the Rivers state Board of Internal Revenue, has reportedly regained his freedom.
He was kidnapped on August 24 near the Okrika waterfront, Marine Base area of Port Harcourt.
ChannelsTV reports that Fubara was released shortly after midnight on Thursday last week, on a smaller island near Bonny.
However, he was not reunited with his family until Friday, September 6.

The report stated that a family member, who asked to remain anonymous, confirmed Aribibia’s release.
Fubara was held for 12 days.
The Rivers state police command has announced a scheduled briefing by the commissioner of police, where details of the director’s release and other matters would be relayed.
