Rivers election tribunal receives 17 petitions

The Rivers state election petition tribunal sitting in Abuja says it had so far received 17 petitions from 2015 general election.

Deborah Musa, the tribunal secretary, who did not give the breakdown, made this known in an interview with NAN on Tuesday.

It will be recalled that the tribunal relocated to Abuja following security threats.

Musa had said that Zainab Bulkachuwa, president of the court of appeal, approved the relocation of the tribunal to Abuja.

Musa, however, said the tribunal would be sitting at court 20 and court 23 of the Apo high court complex in Abuja.
