The chances of Nigeria’s most experienced players breaking into the Super Eagles’ World Cup squad is unlikely, says coach Gernot Rohr.
Rohr said he will give priority to the young players who contributed to Nigeria’s qualification for the mundial.
The Franco-German coach said there’s no point “searching for experienced” hands when the young players are good enough for the job.
“There won’t be changes in the team except there is the issue of injuries which will necessitate such changes,” Rohr told TheCable.

“We should not forget that our young players did it all and I will not want to take them out of the team because some older players now want to come back.
“All Nigerian players doing well in their clubs could come to the team but this is not the right time to be searching for experienced players because it is the young players that gave us the World Cup ticket.
“You know that everybody wants to come to Nigeria and play in the World Cup but we must not forget the players that took us there.”
