Portugal and Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo has won the 2014 FIFA Ballon d’Or, beating perennial rival Lionel messi and Germany goalkeeper Manuel Neuer to retain a crown he also won last year.
The former Manchester United winger scored a record-breaking 17 Champions League goals last season as Real beat city rivals Atletico in May to claim their 10th European club football’s top trophy.
Ronaldo shared the Golden Boot with then Liverpool striker Luis Suarez after firing 31 league goals in just 30 appearances as Real finished third in La Liga.
He also helped the Spanish giants to Copa del Rey, Spanish Super Cup and Club World Cup triumphs in 2014.
