Real Madrid forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, has thanked the fans for their support following his five-goal performance in the 9-1 win against Granada at the Bernabeu on Sunday afternoon.
The Portuguese first three came within eight minutes following Gareth Bale’s opener, putting Real 4-0 up at half time.
His fourth came in the second half between two from Karim Benzema.
The visitors pulled one back through Robert Ibanez before Diego Mainz’s own goal, with Ronaldo heading his fifth late on.

After the match, Ronaldo still maintained his media boycott but posted a message via his Twitter account, thanking everyone for their support over his bad patch.
“Happy to have scored 5 goals with this excellent team work. Thank you for all your support,” he said.
The ex-Manchester United forward came into the match with one of the worst goals scoring runs in his Real Madrid career, netting just 10 goals through the first three months of the year in over 15 games.

However, after the international break, Ronaldo came back determined as ever to regain top spot in La Liga scoring list and found the perfect target in Granada, who have one of the worst defences in the Primera Division – they have conceded 52 goals in 29 league games.
Ronaldo now has 36 league goals four more than closest and eternal rival Lionel Messi.
