Rui Patricio, Wolves goalkeeper, was stretchered off with a head injury during their English Premier League (EPL) game against Liverpool after a horror clash with Conor Coady.
In an encounter that the Reds won 1-0 at the Molineaux, courtesy of Diogo Jota, the Portuguese goalkeeper came out of goal to close down Mohamed Salah, who subsequently finished, before colliding with Coady, his teammate.
He was thereafter stretched off the field.
Liverpool won consecutive matches for the first time since January in all competition and it was only their second EPL win in eight matches.

The former EPL champions waited for the first real chance seven minutes from interval, with Saido Mane heading wide from Trent Alexander-Arnold’s cross, but Jurgen Klopp’s side eventually took the lead in added time of the first period.
Jota, who left Wolves in the summer, collected a Salah pass and hit a low shot from 16 yards which squirmed beyond Patricio despite the goalkeeper getting a hand to it.
The second period was dour and scarce on chances, with Salah shooting wide while Adama Traore’s shot was held by Alisson Becker.

Salah had a goal ruled out for offside while an uneventful 15 minutes of stoppage time signaled the end of the drab match on a sour note.
Liverpool move up to sixth position on the EPL log with 46 points from 29 matches, five points adrift of the much coveted Uefa champions league slot.
