A new wave of Russian missile attacks has left many people wounded in Kyiv, Ukraine’s capital.
On Thursday, Mykhailo Podolyak, Ukrainian presidential adviser, said more than 120 missiles had been fired into the country.
Posting on Twitter, Podolyak said the missiles were “launched by the ‘evil Russian world’ to destroy critical infrastructure & kill civilians en masse”.
“We’re waiting for further proposals from ‘peacekeepers’ about ‘peaceful settlement’, ‘security guarantees for RF’ & undesirability of provocations,” he added, referring to Russia’s calls for negotiations to end the war.

Other cities like Kharkiv, Lviv and Odesa also reported missile attacks targeting critical infrastructure.
Ukraine’s defence ministry said Russia was saving its most massive missile attacks for the end of the year but they would be met with failure.
“Russian terrorists have been saving one of the most massive missile attacks since the beginning of the full-scale invasion for the last days of the year. They dream that Ukrainians will celebrate the New Year in darkness and cold,” the ministry’s official account tweeted.
