Sadiq Umar, Super Eagles striker, has joined Valencia CF on loan from Real Sociedad.
Los Che announced the acquisition of the 27-year-old striker in a statement on Saturday.
Umar joins the club on a six-month loan until June 2025.
“The attacker, a Nigerian international, arrives on loan until the end of the current season, and Valencia CF will have an option to buy him at the end of the season,” the statement reads.

Umar hopes the move to Valencia will rekindle his form after a difficult year and a half at La Real.
Sociedad signed him on a six-year deal in 2022 from Almeria. He was picked up as a replacement for Alexander Isak, who left for Newcastle United.
Umar scored on his debut for La Real in September 2022, but he ruptured a knee ligament in the following game and was ruled out for the remainder of the season.

He would not get another goal until over a year later when he scored a 30-yard wonder strike against Sevilla.
Since his return from the long-term injury, Umar remained a fringe player for Sociedad.
Valencia are currently 19th in La Liga. The team has won just two from 18 games this season.
