Eyitayo Jegede, governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Ondo state 2016 election, has lauded the Corruption and Financial Crime Cases Trial Monitoring Committee (COTRIMCO) recently set up by Walter Onnoghen, chief justice of Nigeria (CJN).

Onnoghen had appointed Ayo Salami, a former president of the appeal court, as the chairman of the committee.

Speaking to journalists after a special court session to announce the 2017/2018 legal year in Ondo Jegede described the committee as a “step in the right direction”.
