The Nigerian duo of Gbolahan Salami and Azubuike Egwuekwe in the KuPs FC of Finland scored the two goals against FC Lahti in the Finnish league on Sunday.
Speaking with TheCable after the game, the players expressed happiness with scoring the goals that earned their side victory.
“This is my second league goal for KuPs. It makes me happy each time I go on the pitch and able to score,” said Salami, who scored in the 11th minute to put KuPs FC ahead.
“I want to keep working hard so that I can keep scoring and possibly get myself on the top scorers’ chat.”

Egwuekwe, a central defender whose 68th minute goal is his first league goal for KuPs, said: “I am so happy to have scored my first league goal today. Just last week, everyone thought I was the one that scored an own goal.
“But see the way God works; it turned out scores a goal for my club today. I am looking forward to scoring more goals for my club.”
