Sana’a da Ilmi Foundation announces business plan competition for Kano, Jigawa entrepreneurs

Sana’a da Ilmi Foundation is accepting business plan applications from entrepreneurs in Kano and Jigawa states.

The foundation specified that business owners must be between the ages of 22- 30 with a valid means of identification showing age and residency.

It said that capital required for a business must not exceed N500,000.

Shortlisted applicants will be contacted by the foundation for an interview by January 20, 2021.

The first place winner will receive a cash prize of N300,000, second place N200,000, third place N100,000 and fourth place N50,000.

All grants will be awarded by  Jan 31, 2021.

“The four winners will be announced on the Foundation’s website and on LinkedIn in the interest of transparency,” a statement on its website read.

Business owners interested in participating in the competition can apply by submitting their entries to [email protected].

Application closes on January 15, 2021.

Founded by Amina Ado, former senior special assistant on gas and oil policy  to President Muhammadu Buhari, the foundation is a not- for- profit organisation dedicated to improving quality of learning in public schools, training and mentoring youths on entrepreneurship.

“Our vision is for a future where our public schools inspire excellence and nurture lifelong learners that are ready to excel in any field of their choice,” a statement on its website  said.
