The Super Sand Eagles of Nigeria beat Egypt 4-1 in the CAF African Beach Soccer Championship at the Roche Caiman Sports Complex in Seychelles on Wednesday.
It was a tight affair despite the scoreline showing otherwise as the Sand Eagles dug deep to achieve victory.
The first period ended goalless which saw the two teams defending brilliantly. Nigeria led 1-0 after the end of the second period from a splendid individual effort from Isiaka Olawale.
The floodgate of goals opened in the final period.

Abu Azeez’s athletic and acrobatic overhead kick doubled the Sand Eagles’ lead.
Despite being 2-0 down, the Egyptians looked comfortable and unruffled but two quick goals from the Nigerians blew them away.
However, the Audu Adamu Ejo’s men were unable to keep Egypt scoreless as a flick from Abouserie got the North Africans on the score sheet.

The Sand Eagles now have six points from two games and a spot in the semi-finals in the bag.
They will meet Cote d’Ivoire on Thursday.
Egypt have lost their opening two matches, but can come bounce back against the hosts Seychelles in their last group game also on Thursday.
