The trial of Senate President Bukola Saraki at the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) will continue on June 7, TheCable has been told.
Ibrahim Alhassan, spokesman of the tribunal, said that the trial would run from June 7 to 9 in the following week.
On Wednesday, the trial of the senate president did not take place as scheduled.
On May 25, Danladi Umar, CCT chairman, adjourned the trial to June 1 for the continuation of cross-examination of the prosecution witness, Michael Wetkas.

But TheCable had learnt early Wednesday that it would not take place.
On that day, Alhassan had said the trial of the senate president would not take place because of the absence of the key prosecution witness.
He had explained that the trial was adjourned-to a yet to be disclosed date- at the instance of the prosecution.

He had also added that the CCT chairman was not happy about the development.
Saraki is facing trial at the CCT for alleged false declaration of assets.
