Susan Alabi, deputy governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Ondo state, has officially joined the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Alabi defected from the SDP on October 2 over irreconcilable differences with Bamidele Akingboye, the party’s governorship candidate.
The Ondo governorship election is scheduled to be held on November 16.
Lucky Aiyedatiwa, governorship candidate of the APC in the election, welcomed Alabi into the party during his campaign tour in the Akoko northwest LGA on Tuesday.

Speaking at one of the rally, Aiyedatiwa said the 2025 budget will prioritise development in all parts of the state, promising that no area will be neglected.
He said his administration is committed to development in key areas like security, infrastructural development, and agricultural growth.
“The 2025 budget will be well-structured to guarantee that every area of Ondo State benefits from development initiatives,” he said.

Aiyedatiwa said his campaign tour through major areas in the LGAs was intentional to enable him to gain a firsthand experience of the communities’ situation.
“By personally visiting these communities, I can see their needs directly, allowing me to respond quickly and ensure that no issue affecting your communities is overlooked,” he said.
