Security operatives have arrested a woman identified as Aisha Abubakar for allegedly transporting ammunition to gunmen in Katsina.
Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency publication focused on the Lake Chad region, said the discovery was made during a routine luggage inspection.
The publication said the suspect initially denied involvement but subsequently confessed upon interrogation.
“She initially denied involvement but later confessed to be transporting the ammunition to terrorist groups from Nasarawa state,” Makama said.

“During the course of interrogation, the suspect confessed that she was heading to Yan Tumaki in Dan Musa LGA in Katsina state.”
Nigeria’s security forces have been battling a rising spate of kidnapping for ransom and banditry in the north-western region.
On April 29, Zagazola Makama reported that the military launched air strikes on the camp of Bello Turji, “a terrorist kingpin”, in Kagara forest, which straddles Shinkafi in Zamfara and Isa LGA in Sokoto.
